The original resident in the barn is a 1955 Oliver Super 88 Diesel Standard. I originally just wanted to hang on to it after my Dad passed away. After a while I decided if I was going to keep it I should try to get some of the dirt, grease, grime and whatever else was on it, off. After I did that I decided to see if I could find the sheetmetal to put it back together. I started reading about the Oliver tractors and I've been hooked ever since.

The old girl was built in Charles City, Iowa in 1955. She was branded with Serial No. 26690-809 and Specification No. 18 5117. She made her way to Riley Equipment sales in Goshen, Indiana. Her first owner was Earl Garver of Bristol, Indiana. Her ownership passed to Earl's son, Jim Garver, also of Bristol. In approximately 1971 Jim sold her to my father, Keith (Pappy) Beasey, for $500.00. In 1991 my father passed away and the old girl ended up in my barn.
